Completion of this service will rely on parts availability. Bikes should be brought in clean when possible. A bike wash is available on-site. If you would prefer, booking can be made via email or phone.
Using our workshop is straightforward! Either show up and join the queue (bikes purchased from us get priority) or advance book your repair or service either via our form above, or by email or phone.
Please remember if extra parts or time are required we cannot guarantee it will be done on the booked day- but we will assess, order parts and start the process immediately. We endeavour to complete all jobs as quickly as we can and keep you informed should issues arise. Bikes requiring race support or preparation for a holiday should be in at least two weeks before your event or trip. We always phone when work is complete and tested. No work is carried out without your permission.
Bikes purchased from us receive lifetime safety checks (original owner only) free of charge and this goes a long way towards minimising service bills.Workshop time is charged at £50 per hour.
Discount is applied to all bikes purchased from us (original owner only). A ROZONE bike clean can be added for £20 (full drivetrain degrease included).
Save money and bring your bike in clean! Bikes should be collected within two weeks from job completion (we charge for bikes stored longer than this unless otherwise arranged). Please keep all paperwork and receipts. These will be required for warranty work.
Our on-site bike wash is available to anyone. The cost is £2 per bike with all proceeds going towards local trail maintenance.
We are fully trained and qualified in Bosch and Shimano E bike technologies and have more experience across all E bike categories than any retailer in Aberdeenshire. To maintain warranty and safety, authorised suspension servicing is essential. As an official Fox and Rock Shox premier dealer, Cyclehighlands gets priority servicing with the brands UK service centres. This "full service“ option is the only way to detect faults and maintain warranty and is strongly recommended over a simple lower leg only service. Lower leg/basic service functions and set up we can carry out at the recommended intervals from our Tech Support Unit here in Ballater.
Bike set up can take time but its time well spent. From suspension to stem length we don’t stop until we have a bike set up correctly. Our aftersales commitment means you can revisit as many times as is required , usually at no extra cost. Gadgets like “ ShockWiz” can be hired for out on the trail shock set up and saddles from FABRIC can often be an answer for comfort. If you’ve purchased a bike somewhere else and you are having comfort issues - then give us call to make an appointment and our experienced team will do all they can to help.

No one in northern Scotland wraps more frames than Cyclehighlands! A standard full frame wrap including all materials and time costs £200. We only use official material from INVISIframe and as an authorised fitter we can supply wrap for most brands. Decal changes to leading bike and suspension brands can also be carried out. We have been custom building mountain bikes since 2006. You can supply your own parts and frames or choose from our brands including Santa Cruz, Juliana, Orange, Kona , Fox, Push, Chris King, SRAM, Shimano, DT Swiss, Hope and many more.
